The latest PoliticalNews Today India is that a Congress MP suggested the government to form a joint committee for the discussion and reconsideration on the Mines and Minerals Development (Amendment) Bill, 2021which seeks to bring reforms in the mining sector.

 

S S Ulaka (INC) said that we are not against the bill, but bringing big corporates who will not look after people's well-being is not the solution. The MP further added that "I will request the government to reconsider this particular Bill...You form a joint committee and let us discuss this,"

  The MP also suggested the inclusion of tribal MPs, Mining affected area MPs, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Mines, and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the joint committee. 

 Many Government Departments came under the scanner of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as the latter conducted a surprise visit at 100 locations in over 15 states on 19th March 2021. 

The CBI is conducting surprise visits to identify any corrupt practices going on in the central government offices.

 In Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and other places, the operation is going on at the Railways and Income Tax Department's offices, the statement by CBI said. 

Central Bureau of Investigation is the primary investigating agency of India which functions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions. According to the latest Bollywood Television News, Bigg Boss season 14 fame, Nikki Tamboli has tested Covid Positive on 19th March. It is being expected that the second wave of Covid-19 has begun, and it's deadly than the first one.

 Recently, Filmmaker Satish Kaushik and actor Ranbir Kapoor also tested positive for the virus.

 Tamboli took to her official Instagram account to inform her fans about her being Covid positive. She also mentioned that she is in self-quarantine and taking all the precautionary measures on her doctor's advice. Tamboli also urged her fans to wear masks, sanitise their hands regularly, and maintain social distancing. 

 Bollywood actor Gauahar Khan, recently got into trouble as according to BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation), the actor went to work on set even after testing Covid positive. 

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) banned Gauahar for two months as she violated Covid-19 norms. 

 "The FWICE highly condemns the act of Ms. Gauahar Khan for resuming shooting after being tested positive for COVID-19 Infection even though she was advised to be quarantined. Her act is highly irresponsible and is against the strict guidelines laid down the Government of India & Maharashtra issued for the Media and Entertainment Industry post resumption of shootings in Maharashtra." said a joint statement released by FWICE.

 "The Hindi remake of The Intern hit a massive roadblock with the demise of the late Rishi Kapoor. This suddenly meant that the venture was missing a crucial cast member, and the makers had to re-analyse the casting.
